We knew we didn't want an obvious choice for our wedding venue and so when we discovered Maisemore Lakeside Weddings we knew instantly it was the place for us. Of the two sites offered, The Hidden Lake was exactly what we were looking for. We totally fell for the beautiful and secluded setting, the gorgeous stretch marquee and, as avid festival lovers, the fact our guests could also camp on site meant we knew we'd found our perfect venue.
Despite being in the sticks we didn't have to compromise on anything - from the fully stocked bar to the delicious catering, live band and DJ, beautiful bell tents, photo booth, artisan coffee, we even had hot showers. And one of the best parts of The Hidden Lake is that being so tucked away from everything, and well out of earshot, the place really did feel like our own.
Jasmine and Greg were incredible throughout and were always on hand for any query we had. They were so supportive and welcoming and made us feel more like friends than clients. Lesley and her fabulous team of bar staff also went above and beyond for us, taking care of not just serving drinks but lots of the little jobs that definitely don't cross your mind on your wedding day!
We are so incredibly grateful to everyone at Lakeside Weddings for accommodating our perfect wedding day. Well, considering you have access to the site from Thursday to Monday it really was a wedding weekend that we absolutely made the most of! Thank you to all, we'll forever look back on the happiest and most magical weekend of our lives at The Hidden Lake.

Thanks Jasmine and Greg. We had such an amazing wedding day, honestly couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day! We were so happy with everything; the venue, videographer, photographer, food choices, band, bar, church service…. it was all exactly what we wanted!
We’ve had so many lovely comments about the venue, and for me in particular it was where I’d always imagined I’d want to get married so was a dream come true!

Thank you to you and Greg for all the help you gave us leading up to the wedding and letting us have our wedding on the new venue, The Hidden Lake, we were more than happy to be the first. The venue really did look amazing, from seeing on that Sunday with loads of sheep to how it looked on the day was incredible. Also thank you for the Joe Glynn recommendation, that set was just the perfect ending to the wedding for us, we absolutely loved it.
So many guests have said how amazing the venue and the marquee looked so I think you guys have got a real gem there.

Our wedding reception at Maisemore was amazing - the comparative blank slate was perfect for hosting our dream reception, and Jasmine and Greg were amazing! They had so much advice, and really helped us bring the little details together, with things like picnic benches and a firepit. Because a lot of our wedding was quite DIY, having the whole weekend to set up (and pack away!) made a crazy time much less stressful!

We got married in 2021 but decided to have a wedding blessing at St Giles Church and celebration with more of our friends and family at Maisemore Court. The stretch tent was stunning with the interesting shape and festoon lighting and created a perfect blank canvas for our decorations. We had plenty of space to keep the bar and comfy seating, tables and dance floor and band all set up without needing to rearrange furniture on the day. The outside space and setting was a bonus. With plenty of room for our garden games for adults and kids alike and kids tent. Despite some rain on the day we had dry spells to enjoy the picnic benches and the lake, which had an amazing sunset rainbow over in the evening. Perfect relaxed venue for our celebrations. And brilliant to have been able to walk round from the church and have plenty of time to set up and pack up without having to rush. Thanks very much to Jasmine and Greg for their support and ideas.

“Mark and I got married at Maisemore in August 2016, it was a perfect day helped by the stunning location! The Chamberlayne family were fantastic from start to finish, from booking to the logistics of setting everything up the day before.
We were able to source our own catering, marquee, bar facilities and decorate the ground as we wanted. We could tailor it to our needs, which most other wedding venues wouldn’t allow.We wanted to thank you all for our fairytale wedding. Even now nearly four years on the memories still stick with us.I cannot recommend the location enough, it really is a hidden gem within Gloucestershire with the most gorgeous views surrounding you all day. The grounds are so beautiful and the atmosphere on the day was everything I wanted it to be..mainly due to the lovely setting ! We have such lovely photos to look back on of the children watching the swans, people sat out on the hay bales enjoying drinks and many more lovely memories we will cherish forever! It was great that we were able to book the venue out a few days before so we had a good amount of time for the marquee etc to be sorted without stressing too much at the last minute! Also a big thank you to Greg who helped us out with certain things and gave us some good ideas that he had done for his own wedding…it was much appreciated! “We loved the fact that Maisemore Court was a beautiful blank canvas. We could do whatever we wanted and add our own personal touch to the picturesque setting. Driving into the wedding through the gorgeous village felt truly "Cotswolds" and at exceptional value. Everyone at Maisemore we liaised with were very friendly and helpful but to be honest we were mostly left to just get on with it which was ideal. There was ample parking and space for all our guests. My favourite part was being able to camp overnight in the smaller field with all our friends and wake up in the morning to breakfast on a hay bale looking out over the beautiful lake.”

“In June 2019 me and my husband got married! It took us long time to find the perfect venue for our wedding, we knew we needed something special for this special one in a lifetime event! We had snooped on the internet for weeks and viewed so many venues, and we were disappointed with all of them, until we found Lakeside Weddings at Maisemore Court!! The communication was easy and very quick from the start and we managed to view the land within a day. Once we stepped our feet on this property we knew that it was the one! The view was magnificent!! The owners made our day magical and they helped with every query we had and also helped with any issues! We even had a firework display on our special day and we were surprised as the owners had no issues with that. This is the place to have your wedding! The price is good and the communication is amazing! You will not regret it! This place has given us the best memories we could have ever had and our guests say exactly the same! Highly recommend this wedding venue! Also pictures are magnificent!”!

“I just wanted to put in to writing our thanks and gratitude for all that you did to help us to have, quite literally, the best day of our life.
After three postponements, changing venue was a little daunting but between you guys and Vicki you made it all a little easier for us. The venue is just stunning - the photographs reflect that but can never truly capture how beautiful it is on site. The marquee is massive and allowed us to have a set up where we didn’t need to disturb guests by collapsing tables, even with 100 guests and a 10 piece band! The furniture hired in was beautiful and gave us lots of scope to decorate how we wanted our day to be. Dry hire is harder work but really does give you a personalised day far more than any other. We appreciate all of your help finding additional staff too - glasses were never empty!!
The lake was beautiful and the good weather just made it even more perfect. Walking over from the church eliminated all of the travel issues and the set up at the venue allowed people to take the day at their own pace which we really liked. Beer pong by the lake with bridesmaids vs groomsmen will be a memory for us for a long time! (Especially witnessing how competitive Tom’s dad got!)
We loved having the beautiful tents and an option for our guests to stay on site. The toilet block was the poshest I’ve ever seen and the shower was hot - it’s the best glamping experience I’ve ever had! Staying in a honeymoon tent was quite an experience and one I wouldn’t have wanted anywhere else. What a way to see in married life.
Having fireworks reflected over the lake at the end really was extra special for us for so many reasons. I can’t thank you enough for letting us do that, nor for letting us have the size of the band that we just had to have to meet our love for Motown. It really was a day that we and our guests will never forget and we thank you for helping us make that happen.
What a beautiful venue you guys have. I’m sure you’ll see many other couples have their dreams come true there just like we did.
