What type of venue are you?

We are a ‘do it yourself’ marquee wedding venue. We supply your marquee package which includes a staffed evening bar and then the rest is up to you!

Does your venue include a wedding co-ordinator?

Our wedding venue does not have an on site wedding co-ordinator but we do have a lovely list of recommendations if you wish to employ one.

Do you provide table and chairs?

Tables and chairs are provided as part of your marquee package. If you require extra tables and chairs or other furniture that is not included in the package then this will be an additional cost.

Do you supply a table plan stand?  

Yes we have a chalkboard and stand available which is included in your marquee package.

Can I have candles in the marquee?

No candles are to be used inside the marquee.

What about catering facilities?

We have a list of recommended suppliers whom we work with and know the site well however if couples have a caterer in mind that they want at their wedding this is something we can facilitate.

Can our guests bring confetti?

Due to our venue being in a rural setting and having many permanent animal residents on the lake we  politely ask that if guests wish to bring confetti that is biodegradable confetti.

What about cut off times for bar and music?

We offer a fully stocked bar which is licensed til 12am. We politely request that live music finishes at 11pm and music from 11pm til 12am has the bass reduced in line with our t&cs.

Debit/credit card at the bar?

Yes we operate debit/credit card bar only for all to enjoy!

Can I provide my own drinks?  

We can provide daytime drinks if our couples require or you can supply your own Champagne, Prosecco and wine only with no corkage fee (in line with our t&cs). Please note that this is based on half a bottle per adult day guest. All other alcoholic drinks will incur a corkage fee. Available until the completion of the wedding breakfast.

Can you supply additional staff?

Yes you can hire additional staff for help with serving drinks and food if required. This will be based on an hourly rate so please let us know and we can provide further details.

Can we camp/glamp at the venue?

Yes! We have the Old Orchard which is set on the grounds of the lakeside. There is lots of room for both you and your guests to either camp or glamp. We have recommended suppliers who are able to provide you with everything you need!  

Can we have showers for camping?

Of course however, this is not part of your marquee package! At Maisemore Court there are on site showers which are an additional cost. At The Hidden Lake we can recommend our trusted supplier who will be able to provide these facilities for you and your guests.

Are there toilets?

Yes a luxury toilet unit is included in your marquee package!!

Where will our guests park?

We provide ample parking in our car park located at the rear of the venue. Guests are able to leave their cars in the car park overnight and we politely request that guests pick them up before 17:00 the following day.

Where can we smoke?

You can smoke on the grounds however you will be required to have designated smoking pots for people to put their cigarettes in and we kindly ask guests to dispose of them in there.

What about rubbish?

All rubbish must be cleared from the site; We have multiple bins on site which are labelled so that most of the rubbish can be recycled or disposed of appropriately!

Is there disabled access?

Yes we have ensured that the grounds are suitable for disabled access.

Cancellation Policy

If the wedding is cancelled within 8 months of the wedding date 50% of the package price will be payable by the couple.
